October 1, 2004 charity auction to benefit "The Door" shelter for abused women and families in Humble, Texas in conjunction with the FallCreek community and Redstone Golf Course Club "Downtown at your Doorstep" event.

Lisa Hollins' door received the highest bid of the evening; $1,000 from Mike Inselmann of Metrostudy which was donated to charity.

Opening Doors

The Opening Doors event brought in approximately $10,000 for “The Door” FamilyTime Foundation. Honorary chair of the event was Harris County Commissioner Jerry Eversole. 

rED dOOR, bLUE sKY was exhibited in public for a month in downtown Houston in the Continental Airlines building along with several other stunning creations donated by other local artists.

It was quite an honor to be a part of this event.

My husband David and I co-purchased the Door with Mike.  The Door is the entry centerpiece of our modern home on Clear Lake (see picture below).  We get a lot of positive comments on the Door and really like it. Sorry but we are not interested in selling it. Thanks,  JJ
